Rather strenuous I’d say! One reason is its small tiny window, second it’s the time that it takes to load (with the slow connection that I have, its even worse!) and how much it increases my browser’s load! So here’s is a desktop app called FBM, that run’s on Adobe Air.

FBM is cross platform it will run on Windows (xp, Vista, Win7), Mac OSX, Linux. However to chat with your friend you must have them download and install the application on their PC’s as well. Well, that’s not good!

The app also includes chat rooms and basically a simple facebook interface through a desktop client.

  • Supports different visibility mode: Public, Only friends or invisible
  • Update your FB status via FBM
  • Photo Album Viewer: View your friends photos right from your desktop.

Presenting to you the Way2sms Free SMS desktop client. Although not an official software from the Way2SMS team, this light-weight software from Amit Hegde sure does the thing.

The only pre-requisite that you need is a Way2Sms account and a Windows machine with .net framework 2.0. As mentioned earlier this software is not an official one from the Way2sms team, so it may become dysfunctional anytime.
