for internet explorer just type &quot;iexplore&quot; in the RUN window.
in the registry go to &quot;HKEY_USERS\&quot;. all microsoft programs have their paths registered.
for eg. type &quot;winword&quot; for ms word, &quot;excel&quot; for ms excel etc. even notepad can be run by typing notepad in the RUN box. From the &quot;start menu&quot; just look at the properties of all ms applications. almost all can be run by typing the name of the .exe file that the shortcuts points to as explained above. in fact one can always lookup &quot;regedit&quot; or &quot;regedt32&quot; on MSDN and see how and what is the registry...
