Have you ever tried chatting using the Facebook chat app, that loads up in the toolbar at the bottom of the site? Rather strenuous I’d say! One reason is its small tiny window, second it’s the time that it takes to load (with the slow connection that I have, its even worse!) and how much it increases my browser’s load! So here’s is a desktop app called FBM, that run’s on Adobe Air.

FBM is cross platform it will run on Windows (xp, Vista, Win7), Mac OSX, Linux. However to chat with your friend you must have them download and install the application on their PC’s as well. Well, that’s not good!

The app also includes chat rooms and basically a simple facebook interface through a desktop client.
